A shortcut doesn’t expand#

• Mac: check Accessibility is on for LazyBoard, then click Recheck.
• Make sure expansion isn’t paused (Settings → Options, or the menu bar panel).
• Check the app isn’t in Excluded apps, or the website in Excluded websites.
• Type the whole abbreviation without pauses or corrections, exactly as saved.
• In a browser with both the app and the extension, check Desktop expansion in browsers.
• Password and one-time-code fields are never expanded.

The text doesn’t insert#

Some apps and web editors block inserted text. Open the picker and choose Copy, then paste. If the picker says there’s no insertion target, click into the text field first.

“…is part of LazyBoard Pro”#

The snippet uses a Pro variable. You can keep it saved; it expands once you have Pro. To use it on Free, replace the Pro variable with a free one, for example {{name:…}} instead of {{text:…}}.

A variable shows an error#

• Formulas can only use fields from this snippet: add the field, such as {{name:Qty}}, or fix the spelling. Labels with spaces need square brackets.
• Check the formula near…: a symbol is missing or extra, for example Qty*.
• … is not a number: a field used in maths contains text, or you divided by zero.
• Picker fields need a label and nonempty choices: write {{pick:Label|a|b}} with text in every option.
• Use a shift like +3d: see dateshift.
• No snippet uses the shortcut…: check the abbreviation in {{snippet:…}}.

The clipboard variable is empty#

Copy the text just before expanding. In the Chrome extension, clipboard variables need clipboard permission and may not work on http:// pages.

Snippets don’t appear on another device#

• Sign in with the same account on both devices. Sync needs Pro.
• Snippets in your local library don’t sync until you choose Import local snippets.
• If you see Sync needs attention, choose Sync now and check your connection.
• Image snippets stay on the Mac that created them.
