Settings
Every option in LazyBoard’s Settings window, tab by tab.
On this page
Open Settings from the bottom of the sidebar or from the menu bar panel. Changes save automatically.
Options#
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Picker shortcut | The key combination that opens the picker. Click Edit to record a new one. |
| Launch when I sign in to my computer | Starts LazyBoard in the background when you log in, so shortcuts always work. |
| Pause automatic expansion | Stops shortcuts from expanding. The picker still works. |
| Expansion sound | Plays a short sound after an insertion. Use the slider for the volume. |
| Excluded apps | One app per line where shortcuts never expand. |
| Automatic templates | Fetch read-only templates from your API (Pro). See automatic templates. |
Advanced#
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Locale | How dates and numbers look in snippets. System default keeps date formats such as 2026-09-08. Choosing a locale such as en-GB changes {{date}}, {{time}}, {{datetime}} and {{number:…}} without a custom format. Explicit formats like {{date:DD/MM/YYYY}} stay the same. |
| Desktop expansion in browsers | Whether the desktop app or the Chrome extension expands in Chrome, Edge and Brave. See desktop app and extension together. |
Usage#
A chart of your shortcut expansions and picker insertions over the last 30 days. It is calculated on your device.
Backup & help#
Export backup and Import backup (see backups), plus diagnostics you can send with a bug report. Diagnostics contain no snippet text or account details.
