Launch waitlist
When you join our waitlist, we store your email address, selected platform, and signup date to notify you when LazyBoard launches. We also send these details to our notification service, WebhookBeam. Joining the waitlist does not create an account or a paid subscription. To leave the waitlist or request deletion, contact hello@lazyboard.app.
Desktop, web, and Chrome extension
Your library is saved locally on your device or in your browser profile. When signed in, your account library is sent to our server to synchronize it. Local snippets are not uploaded until you explicitly import them into an account.
Accounts store your email and authentication information. Desktop session credentials use operating-system-backed encryption; extension credentials are restricted to trusted extension contexts. The web dashboard keeps its session for the browser tab. Synced snippets are not end-to-end encrypted.
Shortcut matching keeps a bounded buffer in memory; surrounding typing is not logged or uploaded. Clipboard variables read clipboard text when used. Inserted text becomes available to the app or website where you insert it.
Desktop error reporting and usage analytics are optional settings. They exclude snippet content, clipboard text, and credentials. The extension and web editor do not send typing history or snippet content to analytics.
Feedback messages, category, and any reply email are stored for the team and sent to hello@lazyboard.app. Signed-in feedback includes the account email. Anonymous feedback does not require an email.
The service runs on DigitalOcean and uses Zoho for account emails, Paddle for configured billing, and optional Google Analytics and Sentry integrations. You can export your library, sign out, or delete your account from the app or dashboard. Contact hello@lazyboard.app with privacy questions.
Existing mobile keyboard policy
The following policy describes the existing mobile keyboard, rather than the new account-sync system.
We understand the importance of trust when it comes to using a keyboard, and we take your privacy very seriously. LazyBoard Keyboard is designed with your security in mind, ensuring a safer and more private experience.
Key Privacy Features
LazyBoard Keyboard provides an advantage over other keyboards: you don’t need to "Allow Full Access" for the keyboard to function. Simply add our keyboard to your device, and it works seamlessly. The only time you may be asked to "Allow Full Access" is if you choose to enable the "pasting from clipboard" feature.
- No Keystroke Collection: We will not collect or send your keystrokes to any server.
- No Access to Sensitive Information: We do not access your passwords, credit card details, or any other sensitive information.
What we do collect:
To improve your experience and enhance the app, we collect the following:
- Anonymous Usage Statistics: Information such as how many people are using the app, which helps us make improvements.
- Anonymous Crash Reports: Data to identify and fix issues, making the app more stable.
