What the extension does
LazyBoard saves your reusable text and inserts it into supported website text fields. It works locally without an account. Mobile apps and the desktop app have separate privacy details.
Local data and website access
Snippets, folders, preferences, backups, local usage counts, and the offline sync queue are stored in your Chrome profile. The extension checks a bounded shortcut buffer in eligible text fields; it does not upload surrounding typing or browsing history. Detected password and one-time-code fields are excluded. Website access is used to match shortcuts and insert the snippet you choose.
Optional accounts and synchronization
If you create an account, your email and authentication data are processed by api.lazyboard.app. Signing in enables account-library synchronization: snippet text, folder names, revisions, and deletion markers are sent over HTTPS and stored on our server. Local snippets are uploaded only when you explicitly import them into your account. Snippets may contain personal information or communications you choose to save.
Clipboard and desktop coordination
Clipboard text is read only when you use a clipboard variable; it is inserted locally and is not sent as analytics. Copy writes the selected snippet to your clipboard. The optional localhost connection exchanges browser identity and a short-lived expansion lease with the desktop app, never snippets or credentials.
Sessions, deletion, and feedback
Session credentials are stored in Chrome storage restricted to trusted extension contexts. Sign out to end access on this profile. Account deletion is available in the dashboard. Removing the extension clears its browser storage but does not delete a cloud account. Feedback you submit, including an optional reply email, is stored by our service and emailed to our support mailbox. Do not include secrets in feedback.
Analytics and use of data
The extension maintains local shortcut usage counts. It does not currently send extension usage events or crash reports to Google Analytics or Sentry. The public website has separate consent-based analytics; the Electron desktop app has its own usage/error reporting. We do not sell extension user data, use it for advertising, or use it to determine creditworthiness. Data is used only to provide the features described here. LazyBoard's use and transfer of information received through Chrome APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
